How to Finally Take Your Digital Organization Seriously

Some links in this post are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them—at no extra cost to you. I only share products I genuinely like or think you’ll find useful for digital organization! As always, transparency first.

For me, digital clutter drains my energy just like physical clutter. Maybe even worse considering how often I’m on my phone.

So in 2026, here’s how I’m tackling my photo library, phone habits, and finances without adding more stress to my life.

There’s a particular kind of “reset” that I try to aim for that doesn’t come from discipline, restriction, or trying to fix myself. It comes from fixing the systems around me.

This year, I’m intentionally getting back on track…not what you think (by making my body the project) but by cleaning up the background chaos that’s been draining my energy for a while now.

Here are three digital organization strategies I’m using that already feel like a relief just to get things kicked off.

1. Cleaning up my photo + video library.

I’m finally dealing with my camera roll. If you know, you know…thousands of screenshots, duplicates, videos I meant to edit, memories I can’t even find anymore. But I’m always so overwhelmed with how to organize digital photos.

I downloaded Picnic, and honestly? It’s been way easier (and more fun) than I expected. Picnic helps you organize photos and videos, clear out clutter fast, and actually find memories again instead of losing them forever.

I’ve already been resurfacing old photos and sharing memories I forgot I even had. This has been long overdue…and instead of feeling overwhelming, it’s felt grounding.

I’m also looping in my Faye advisor and eventually getting extra help so this stays a system, not a one-time purge. If you want to try Faye too, here’s our referral link for $100 off your first month (I don’t make any commission on this link, just sharing because I love them!)

2. Managing my screen time with a Brick

This one is very much a “know thyself” decision.

I got a Brick…a physical device that temporarily blocks distracting apps and notifications on your phone. No subscriptions. No complicated setup. Just fewer reasons to doom scroll.

My screen time is too embarrassing to share publicly, so we’re handling this one… quietly and seriously.

Less phone. More presence with Lenny. That’s the goal.

3. Organizing my finances digitally

This is the part I’m genuinely excited about.

I signed up for Monarch Money (Affiliate link, but I only share tools I actually use) so I can finally see everything in one place instead of avoiding my numbers and hoping for the best.

What I like about Monarch:

  • Syncs with 13,000+ banks
  • Tracks spending, budgets and investments
  • Built for couples (shared goals, no extra cost)
  • Helps you see patterns without shame or spreadsheets

It also has a free 7-day trial, and I have a 50% off first-year link (under $5/month) if you want financial clarity without the stress.

My final thoughts on digital organization…?

This year is about:

  • Infrastructure
  • Systems
  • Support

Not punishment. My AuDHD can’t take it!

If this resonated, I’d love to hear what your version of digital organization looks like! What’s your org stack?
